There is no single legal consumer definition of a superyacht. It is an industry and marketing description rather than a fixed classification, which is why two brokers can use the word about very different boats.
Two reference points make the picture clearer. On the regulatory side, Transport Malta draws its line at 24 metres: commercial yachts below 24 metres are certified under its Small Commercial Yacht Code, while yachts above 24 metres fall under the Commercial Yacht Code, which was most recently updated in 2025. That boundary governs certification, crew requirements and operational limits — not marketing language.
On the commercial side, our collection focuses on yachts of approximately 30 metres and above. We set it there deliberately: 30 metres is roughly where a yacht reliably carries a full interior crew, a chef, five or more guest suites and a garage of water toys, which is what people actually mean when they search for a super yacht charter in Malta.
